One thing about Diddy is that he knows how to diversify.
The FX network has put in development Brightmoor, an animated comedy that will be executive produced by Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The “black South Park” will be set in inner-city Detroit and revolve around the lives of African-American youths that attend Brightmoor Elementary School.
The cable network is hoping the show, which was created and written by “King Of The Hill” writer Chip Hall and Motor City comedian Chris Powell (CP), will be as big as its first animated hit “Archer.”
FX’s previously unsuccessful attempts in the genre include “Unsupervised” and “Chozen,” which was centered around a gay, white rapper fresh out of prison.
