Pharrell is partnering with French sportswear company, Moncler, to launch his own line of glasses called Moncler Lunettes.
Made in a single piece of titanium, the Lunettes will come in shades of black, green, blue, red and gold and have unique square-shaped lenses with a futuristic look.
“This is a collaboration and if anything, I feel like Moncler is endorsing me,” Pharrell says of the collection. “The world is about to see itself through the lenses of Moncler and Pharrell Williams.”
Personally, I’m not a sunglass person. I either lose them or brake them so I don’t usually more than $14.99 (random number) for them….Although I did get gifted a nice Burberry pair from my mom recently. S/O to my mom!
As we all know Pharrell’s no slouch when it comes to design. His creative pursuits include his clothing lines Billionaire Boys Club, Billionaire Girls Club, Bee Line, ICECREAM, jewelry and accessories designs for Louis Vuitton, furniture and product design, collaborations with Marc Jacobs, the artist KAWS, and with architects Zaha Hadid and Masamichi Katayama/Wonderwall. In other Pharrell news, he’ll also be serving as a celebrity mentor on Rihanna’s “Styled to Rock” premiering Friday, October 25 at 8pm ET/PT. The new reality competition series gives 12 up-and-coming designers, hand-picked by RiRi herself, the opportunity to become America’s next trendsetting designer. Each week, the designers will be presented with a different challenge, aimed at creating a new look to define the celebrity guest’s image. However, only half of the contestants selected by the mentors will get to showcase their new design for the client and have a shot at winning. The other half will be placed up for elimination. The grand prize is $100,000 cash, a fashion feature in Glamour magazine and the chance to become the next member of Rihanna’s design team. Check out a SNEAK PEAK HERE
