This isn’t good.
As if Dame Dash doesn’t have enough bad press, his son – Boogie – was arrested Tuesday for strangling his girlfriend in Chelsea.
According to the NY Post, Damon “Boogie” Dash II, 22, was charged with misdemeanor assault and strangulation for allegedly squeezing his girlfriend’s neck as they argued on Sept. 22 in his apartment.
“They had an apparent dispute over sex,” a law enforcement source told The Post. (Wow… they totally threw him under the bus.)
“She was visiting him at his apartment, he got violent with her, starts to punch her, slap her and shove her onto the bed, got on top of her, he grabs her by the throat and chokes her,” the source reported.
They briefly reconciled but then had another fight, at which point the girlfriend called the police.
According to the misdemeanor compliant, Boogie climbed on top of her and “placed both of [his] hands around [her] neck and squeezed tightly.”
At his arraignment on Wednesday, Boogie signed an order of protection barring him from any contact with the girlfriend. He was released without bail.
“He did get physically violent with her,” the source added. “She suffered bruises, a black eye and a cut lip.” Her neck was left with red marks, the complaint alleges.
Hmmm… I’m pretty sure there’s a little more to the story than sex – at least I hope it wasn’t that serious. HOWEVER, this young man has no business putting his hands on her. Now he’ll have to learn the hard way.
One more thing before I step off this box… Children of celebs need to understand that when they commit crimes, etc. that affects the family name, which means it affects family dollars. No bueno.
