Chris Brown’s Probation Revoked … Again

chrisB_courtWith just days to go until the scheduled end of his Rihanna related probation, Chris Brown has had his probation revoked – again.

According to Judge James Brandlin, Breezy was still 202 hours short of the 1,000 community labor hours he agreed to serve by the time his probation was set to expire Jan. 23. (Really?? … that’s bad)

After briefly complimenting Chris for testing negative in recent drug tests, he revoked probation and ordered him to return to court March 20 to set a date for a violation hearing.

He also asked for a supplemental report related to two recent shootings that took place at two performances and were highlighted in a probation report recommending jail time. (Yikes… but hey, that’s the life of probation)

The first shooting was at a West Hollywood nightclub in August during a pre-VMA party. Suge Knight was hit by several bullets there.

The second incident took place Sunday during a club performance in San Jose, Calif.

“The recent event in San Jose is disturbing for several factors,” Chris’ probation officer wrote in a report submitted Monday.

“One is that he was court ordered not to leave Los Angeles County without court or probation permission. This is also the second event in less than six months that the defendant has attended of performed where individuals were shot,” the officer said.

“Though he has shown the ability to be compliant during long stretches of his probation grant, he still continues a pattern of making choices that are counterproductive in his ability to be successful on probation. There is also concern that when he performs or attends at some of his public events, people will get shot or seriously injured,” he wrote.

Chris previously signed an agreement that he would not leave Los Angeles County without written permission, the judge agreed.

But he let the matter slide after Breezy’s lawyer Mark Geragos took “full responsibility” for the oversight, saying Chris’ manager reached out to his office to ask if he needed a court order to travel and was told he did not.

Chris was released on his own recognizance Thursday and told to continue with his community labor pending the March 20 court date.
