Beyonce’s father and former manager, Mathew Knowles, held a garage sale in Houston this past Tuesday (Dec. 23). Some of the items sold include Bey’s old merchandise – outdated t-shirts, CDs and concert DVDs.
According to local news reports, Mathew set up shop outside of his Music World Entertainment offices in midtown Houston. Although he didn’t offer details around his incentive, he did maintain he did not host the sale because of a need for money.
“If I needed money, I wouldn’t sell $5 t-shirts. I’d sell a Grammy or an MTV award. No, I don’t think so.”
Word is that Mathew hopes to expand the Music World Entertainment complex in Houston within the next five years, and setting up a new studio where the garage sale was held.
My two-cents: SMH. What happened? Not that ever believed the Knowles family was legit happy, but the recent saga of Mathew has been a sad & unexpected one.
