Two days after tweeting that Cash Money Records and Birdman refuse to release his new album, Tha Carter V, Lil Wayne publicly spoke about the conflict for the first time at the Vice 20th anniversary concert.
“I was supposed to drop my new album Dec. 9, but due to technical difficulties I’m f—ed up in a bad situation. But I will be out of this soon and I do it for y’all. So put the motherf—in’ fives up for Carter V.”
My two-cents: Say it ain’t so. I never want to witness issues in a family. Def not over any money, contracts, etc. I hope they work this out. When this story first came out, I thought it was a bad hack job.
