Ye reportedly turned down a $4.5 million offer for a nine-show gig at The Axis at Planet Hollywood. According to a report from TMZ, the deal would have made him the highest paid entertainer on the coveted Las Vegas Strip.
The offer would have scheduled West to perform three shows per week for a three-week span, totaling $500K a show, earning him more than Celine Dion, Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez. Celine currently holds the crown at $476K a show, with Britney and J.Lo trailing at $475K and $350K respectively.
Well here’s a little insight into why Ye may have turned down Vegas. Back in 2012, he supposedly earned $600K per show with Jay Z on their Watch The Throne tour if Forbes tells it. He also reportedly doubled his yearly earnings in 2014, earning him a spot on the magazine’s Hip-Hop Cash Kings list. So …
