Weezy made a stop by the ESPN HQ in Bristol Thursday morning (August 14) with some major announcements.
First, he unveiled the cover for his forthcoming album Tha Carter V on Sportscenter. The album shows a young Weezy and mom – who had yet to see the artwork.
Weezy of course couldn’t depart without a little debate alongside First Take trio, Skip Bayless, Cari Champion and Stephen A. Smith, to reveal the project’s release date, Oct. 28.
He also talked Drake and his recent slap on the wrist as the Raptors Ambassador.
When asked about his opinion regarding his fellow tour-mate Drake, after the NBA fined the Toronto Raptors for his pitch to Kevin Durant at OVO Fest Wayne said. “He has to be more careful.”
He also gave the show a little freestyle.
I’m not always on board with Weezy, but I do like him on ESPN. I can tell he loves sports. He’s in his element.
