She’s collaborated with MAC cosmetics, River Island and been named the Fashion ICON of 2014. Going into fashion would only be right… right?
According to published reports, Rih has filed trademark documents in her last name, Fenty, for categories including apparel, lingerie, cosmetics and swimwear. (Swimwear seems like the ticket for her…I can see that.)
The move is similar to Beyoncé and Jay Z’s attempt to trademark Blue Ivey. The trademark would have protected their daughter from having her name used to sell someone else’s product – rather than any particular plan for expansion. Jay-Z and Beyoncé of course can use the name for other potential business endeavors.
