Kendrick Lamar’s debut album, good kid, m.A.A.d city, had heads declaring him one of the best emcees of the time. But apparently, the project isn’t quite over.
Kendrick is teaming up with director Kahlil Joseph and a slew of newcomers to the acting scene to create a short film based on the album. The flick is being described as “a kaleidoscope of storylines and ideas that defy typical categorization to explore new languages and new forms.”
The 14-minute short film is set to debut at Sundance’s NEXT Fest on Aug. 9. Purchase tickets for the Los Angeles screening HERE
