Apollo Nida – the husband of RHOA Phaedra Parks – has been sentenced to 8 years in a federal prison for cashing stolen checks and laundering more than $2.3 mil through phony bank accounts.
The judge also reportedly ordered Apollo to pay restitution to the victims of his alleged crimes.
Although eight sounds steep, it’s just a 1/4 of the maximum sentence. The reality star received leniency for his cooperation with federal investigators by revealing other criminal secrets.
Apollo must then serve five years under parole supervision after he completes his eight years in a federal prison.
It will be the second prison stint for Apollo who previously served five years in a federal prison for auto title fraud before marrying Phaedra in 2009.
Ohhh … and Just before sentencing one of Apollo’s homes was auctioned off for failure to pay taxes.
Dang … Hard knock life at Phaedra’s house. She’ll bounce back though. I don’t think anyone doubts that.
