Chad Johnson, revealed Friday that he will be doling out fantasy analysis for CBS Sports. Although my boyfriend’s response to the news was, “WTF. I thought you said he had a job.” I think this is a good move for him. Fantasy football has a huge audience that takes their venture serious. About two weeks ago I was on a date at a restaurant and noticed that a fantasy football draft was taking place in a rented room. Add that with the fact that Chad has the gift of gab and this is a good opportunity. Besides the domestic violence incident, Chad has always gotten himself in trouble because of his mouth. Perhaps this will be an opportunity for him to use his mouth for good rather than evil. As far as Chad ever getting another spot on a roster, I think we all knew those days were over after he caught a charge. With that said, I think things are looking up for him.
And since we’re talking sports, Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr. is set to make more guaranteed money than anyone in the history of boxing when he faces Saul “Canelo” Alvarez on Sept. 14. For less than an hour of work, he will pocket $41.5 million. And that total that could go up, provided he gets a cut of the Pay-Per-View profits.
Floyd, who often travels with ridiculous wads of cash, took home a guaranteed purse of $32 million for his May match with Robert Guerrero. (BTW that was the weekend of my girls gone wild extravaganza.) When FLoyd fights Canelo, it will bring his 2013 earnings to $73.5 million for just two bouts.
I would surely take an ass-kickin for that amount.
