After more than 15 years, Angie Martinez has resigned from New York’s Hot 97. Say It Ain’t So ….
Angie started working at the station as an intern when she was a teenager, before eventually becoming an on-air personality. She hosted a weekday show from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Aside from her radio work, “The Voice of New York” has also released two albums, Up Close and Personal, in 2001, and Animal House, the following year. She also appeared on the 1997 hit “Not Tonight” (Ladies Night Remix)” alongside Lil Kim, Missy Elliott, Da Brat and Left Eye.
The announcement sent across Twitter and Instagram shocked the urban radio community …
