Rick Rubin, co-founder of Def Jam and and behind recent hits like Jay Z’s “99 Problems” and Eminem’s “Berzerk” has revealed that he’s working with Kanye West on his seventh album.
In an interview with Zane Lowe which is scheduled to broadcast next week, Rick shares the idea process.
“It was just a funny conversation because it was completely normal to him, it’s just the way he works[…],” Rubin said. “Today, Kanye West is coming in and we’re starting looking at vocal ideas for things for the next album.”
Rick hinted at the possibility of a Yeezus sequel last year, when he suggested that Ye had enough material for two albums.
Who’s excited? I love Rick’s work.
