Did everyone know about the Bonnaroo festival? Really quick because I had no idea what it was, Bonnarro is 4 day music festival of really diverse genres. The word Bonnaroo means “a really good time.” The first Bonnaroo took place in 2002 and took inspiration from music festivals in the 1990s. Cool.
This year that had a returning big act – Kanye. In 2008, he arrived onstage at a whopping 4:30 a.m. Late by any festival’s standards. And in true Ye style, he addressed the elephant in the room.
“Last time I got here, before I even arrived, they had ‘fuck Kanye’ on the motherfuckin’ port-a-potties. But this year, we gon’ piss on ‘em, on they motherfuckin’ port-a-potties,” he said, before also calling out the press (above) as he usually does.

In between hits like “New Slave,” “Power,” and “Stronger,” the rant continued … “Look how they try to make me look,” he continued. “They try to make me look crazy. I know you’ve seen movies … Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon, Jim Morrison. … You’re seeing John Lennon right now, because I am the number one rock star on the planet.”
Here’s what I’ll say about Kanye… If you’re a true Ye fan I’ve come to find you take the good with bad. In exchange for these delusional rants he’ll give some music from the heart.
