Here’s some news stories that caught my eye…
J.Lo Heads Back to A.I. The worst kept secret is finally out the bag. Jennifer Lopez will be returning to American Idol. Rumors started mid-season last year when Mariah Carey made threats of leaving after many heated battles with rapper Nicki Minaj. The rumor was all but confirmed when J.Lo’s boytoy Casper let it slip. Her other fellow judges will be Harry Connick, Jr and Keith Urban who’s returning from last season. Randy Jackson will still be hanging around but this year as a mentor. J.Lo’s salary hasn’t been confirmed but the paycheck is expected to be no less than $15 million which is in the neighborhood that she left at. Hopefully Jennifer will give the geriatric show the boast that it needs. I doubt it but I like her so best wishes.
NWTS on its way. Drake dropped a twitter message letting his fans know that his upcoming album, Nothing Was The Same, is now mixed and mastered and on its way for the Sept 24 release. He’s doing no wrong lately. Already he’s released quite a few gems – “Started From the Bottom,” “All Me,” “The Motion,” “We’re Going Home.” I’m sold! I predict sales of about ….. 700K week one. Let’s see …
Terrell to Fix His Life. Former NFL player Terrell Owens is fixing his life with life coach Iyanla Vanzant who has a show on Oprah’s OWN. After losing nearly all of his multimillion dollar fortune, Terrell has seemed to be on a bit of a downward spiral. In a recent unrelated lawsuit, Terrell is suing his former agent Drew Rosenhaus and his brother Jason for breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, and negligence. The lawsuit alleges that Drew Rosenhaus introduced Owens to Jeff Rubin, a financial adviser, and then advised Owens to let Rubin handle his finances. Owens eventually hired Rubin and in the lawsuit, Owens claims that as his new financial advisor, Rubin made a series of bad investments.
Lets hope he gets it together for his kids. I think he has about 4-ish. SMH. Unprotected sex is all fun and games until the checks stop rolling in.
