You never hear much from Eminem, but doesn’t mean he isn’t taking care of business.
Congrats go out to the emcee for making history as the first artist to ever receive two RIAA Digital Single Diamond Awards (10 million sales and streams). His first diamond-certified single was his song “Love the Way You Lie” with Rihanna, followed by the 2010 song “Not Afraid” that pushed him over the 10 million mark.
RIAA Chairman & CEO Cary Sherman had a few things to say about the record-breaking milestone. “We are delighted to recognize Eminem as the first artist to earn two RISS Digital Diamond Awards,” he said. “This singular achievement — earning a Diamond Award on two separate digital songs — is unparalleled, and we congratulate him on forever etching a mark in Gold & Platinum Program history.”
