In 2003, 50 Cent made history when his first major label release Get Rich or Die Tryin’ debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, selling 872,000 copies in the first four days. Fast forward over 10 years later. Things have changed. The music is different and 50 has spent most of the past decade making business deals including starring in and producing movies and drama series and a couple of energy drinks along the way. This year marks his return to music .. independently. So does the rapper still have what it takes to make a comeback? Well, we asked 111 people and here’s what they said.
Well, as much as I find 50 entertaining, seems like you guys … not so much.
78% of you don’t believe 50 can make a comeback
22% of you believe a 50 Cent comeback can happen
Some of your comments:
“I suppose it’s possible but it wouldn’t have the same impact as when he first hit it big in 2003.”
“No, but still like him.”
Well first week sales are not yet in, but his core fans will get a G-Unit album out of the deal.
