How many iPhones need to be released within a given year?
At first it was cool to see the phone get better and better. Now it just seems ridiculous. Clearly it was always a revenue stream, but now it just seems more overt.
I just joined the iPhone nation in November, which was just shortly after the iPhone 5 was released. On September 10th Apple will not only present one phone, but three.
The lower end model called the iPhone 5C will be enclosed in plastic and will come in different colors. The unannounced price will be lower than the standard. The higher end phone will be encased in gold and of course higher priced. Hmmm …. Help me understand why one would need a gold phone.
Sorry, but these two options to me are cheapening the Apple brand. I think the draw of Apple has always been its exclusive nature. The options have been limited and the price non-negotiable. There are no sales. Either you pay the suggested retail price or go elsewhere. For those reason, I think people Apple people feel a little VIP; a cut above the rest of the computer and smart phone owners.
All the versions will house the mobile operating system, iOS 7. This means little to my non technical mind, but it will be the biggest change in the software since it was first implemented with the first iPhone and iPod Touch back in 2007.
Rumor also has it that a fingerprint scanner could be on the horizon to add security when “unlocking” the phone. Really??? Negativo!! If you’re not the police, you don’t need a fingerprint from me.
