I had heard that Jhene got a little gulley on Twitter with “fans,” but I didn’t expect this.
Jhene Aiko … gurl, who knew you had a little thug in you? Good for you.
Social media is one of the greatest creations and one of the worst at the same time. It’s an awesome way to stay connected, learn. But it’s also the breading ground for e-thugs. And it’s particularly brutal for celebrities. Messages are aimed at them as if they are less than human – people who lack emotions.
We want them to look perfect, be in perfect shape. We want them to sing when we say sing. Dress how we say dress. Act how we think they should and smile on cue. We want puppets. And many of us also feel the right to verbally “punish” and bash them when they don’t give us what we want.
Perhaps that SJ performance wasn’t the best, but nope … it gives no one the right to disrespect Jhene.
She went hard didn’t she?
Jhene Aiko may win a little place in my heart. Check out the video that caused Jhene to pipe up.
