Rihanna Leaves Def Jam for Roc Nation

Rihanna is about to have a new label home after almost a decade.

The songstress is about to join Jay Z’s Roc Nation … surprise.

The transition is so natural most people may have assumed she was already there. Hov signed Ri to Def Jam during his tenure as Def Jam president. In 2009, Hov of course left Def Jam and started Roc Nation – a full-service entertainment company attached to music, sports, management and publicity. A year later, she enlisted the managerial services of Roc Nation.

Although Def Jam and Ri will part soon, her next album will still be distributed by Def Jam.
