Welp, the playoff games between Jay Z the Brooklyn Nets and Drake the Toronto Raptors is over …. and by one point the Nets have it.
In the middle of a very light rap battle (if you can call it that), the Nets and Raptors playoff games kicked off. With Hov being a former owner of the Nets and Drizzy serving as the current Global Ambassador of the Raptors, it made for an interesting series. In game 7, after holding onto a considerable lead for most of the game, the Raptors made a comeback in the fourth quarter, and suffered a one-point loss to the Nets with a score of 104-103 (ouch… I feel the pain for them). But, being the two class acts both Hov and Drake are, the ending was handled with grace.
In a rare instance, Jay Z took to Twitter to congratulate the Raptors on a competitive series:
Congrats Toronto on a hard fought series. #spreadloveitsthebrooklynway

Returning the gesture, Drake posted to Instagram in celebration of his Raptors’ season with the caption, “Incredible year! Incredible team! Congrats to Brooklyn for advancing. #416 #NorthernUprising”
The Brooklyn Nets will move onto the Eastern Conference semifinals and face the Miami Heat next.
