The Miami Herald reports that rap trio Migos was involved in a shooting early Friday morning that left one of the members shot in the leg.
The “Versace” rappers were en route to their South Beach hotel when a gunfire broke out on I-95. They were scheduled to play at the nightclub Cafe Iguana in Pembroke Pines, but the performance was cancelled after “some type of tif with management” occurred.
Florida Highway Patrol trooper Joe Sanchez said a van carrying the group and 5 other passengers was heading south on the highway around 3:30am when a black vehicle pulled up alongside the van and opened fire. Someone in the Migos’ van reportedly shot back. Twelve shots were fired in all and one member of the group was hit.
The victim was not named, but he is said to be recovering at Jackson Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
