Hey look what came in? My Alex and Ani bangles. YAY!! So after we talked, I did go ahead and decide to get them. I was able to get one – the sailboat – from Reed’s jewelry store. The remaining two – Pisces and the anchor – I ordered from the website. Check out the LINK to see the meaning behind the specific charms I choose. They came in within about 2 or 3 days from ordering via regular shipping.
They’re very light weight. Unless I hear the jingle of charms touching, I forget they’re there. The metal material is sturdy though. It’s strong enough to not feel like it will break from everyday activities, yet flexible enough to adjust to the size of your wrist. It has an antiquey finish which I love. I heart vintage looks anyway and it eliminates the fear of any tarnishing. This fulfills my love of charms, layering fetish and it’s at a good price. WIN!!!
Also, on another update. I replaced that pitiful bag I was hauling up and down the street between meetings. Remember that bag lacked structure and was just sad. I didn’t need a full blown computer bag or mini-suitcase on wheels. Just a tote to throw in miscellaneous items – umbrella, heels, maybe a bottle water, a folder or two.
So I found this two-toned tote made by Sak. It has a linen finish which is different from the typical material my purses are made of. This was important. I wanted the bag to really give off the purpose for which it was purchased. I didn’t want it to be confused for a purse (Although that’s exactly what it is.) The Sak has a nice structure without being as formal as a small laptop bag. What do you think?
