Is Hov dodging the law? Well that’s what man who filed an infringement suit against Jay Z thinks.
Allegedly, Hov is accused of dodging the law when it comes to his $600 million lawsuit involving the Brooklyn Nets’ logo.
This all came to be when Hov was accused of stealing the team’s logo.
Dr. Francois de Cassagnol, who filed the complaint, says Hov has yet to respond to his claims and he’s not taking it lightly.
“For the last 10 years I’ve continuously reached out to these folks and in return all I got is insult after insult,” Dr. De Cassagnol said. “Now it’s time to go on trial to finally resolve these issues… based on the mischiefs …I had no intention of extending any time extension for the defendants…. It’s time for these folks to start following the rules like everyone else.”
Dr. De Cassagnol claims that he trademarked the name “Brooklyn Nets” long before the team moved from Jersey.
The doctor claims that Jay Z, the NBA and Bruce Ratner “fraudulently conspired” to use “loopholes” in the U.S. Patent Office so that they could use a name he says he registered more than ten years ago.
