Could Tha Carter V be Weezy’s last? Unless someone pays him $25M -$35M it looks that way.
In a MTV.com interview, he said, “I personally plan on this being my final solo album, yes and it’s definitely the final Carter album. It’s the final Carter album. It’s stopping at five.”
“25 to 35 million would get me to do another solo album after this.”
Tha Carter V doesn’t have an officially-announced release date just yet, but at a show last month in New Orleans, Drake announced that the album would see a May 5 release.
Tha Carter V comes three years after the release of its predecessor. That album went to No. 1 on the Billboard 200, with a total of 964,000 copies sold in its first week. He followed that with I Am Not a Human Being II, which hit No. 2 with 217,000 first-week copies sold.
