Pharrell’s now famous Grammy hat has been sold to an eBay bidder for $44,100.
The Mountain hat Pharrell wore at this year’s Grammy Awards was placed on eBay by the super producer in February to raise money for his From One Hand To Another, organization.
“I’m giving up the Buffalo Hat I wore to the GRAMMYs to help underserved kids get the educational tools they need,” Pharrell said in a statement. “Our organization, From One Hand to Another, is committed to bringing kids experiences that ignite their passions, challenge their minds and prepare them for success.”
The bidding finally ended at 8 p.m. EST. Pharrell took to his Twitter account to congratulate the winner of the bid. “Thank you to whoever bought my Grammy hat on @eBay for $44,100. Your donation benefits From One Hand To AnOTHER,” he posted.
Pharrell’s new album G.I.R.L. drops March 3.
