So Diddy has announced the upcoming release of a new Ciroc flavor – Amaretto. Amaretto is often described as having an almond flavor. I suppose I would agree with that. Either way Yummmmm!!!! It should be good. He already has Coconut, Red Berry, and Peach flavored vodka in the fold. It’s predicted to hit markets in August and I’m pretty excited.
Despite his larger than life persona, Diddy’s Ciroc is actually good. It’s definitely the smoothest vodka I’ve ever had. This is a good thing for light-weight drinkers like myself. I like my alcohol to sneak up on me. I’m definitely on the light, fruity end of the spectrum. Sometimes I can’t believe this man used to dance around in videos in shiny, puffy suits. That’s why you should never write anyone off. He now has a net worth of a reported $550 million. I’m proud of him.
Well all this talk of alcohol got me to thinking, ‘what are my favorite cocktails?’ My taste buds always change, but right now these are my top five. Steal these for the summer months.
Straw-ber-Rita Bud Light: Margarita’s with a twist. I talked about this some days ago. Great no-beer taste and good bite all packed in one itty bitty can. Enough said.
Hipnotiq Martini. Hipnotiq is an attractive liqueur because of its bright blue color. It keeps you because of the taste. It has a sweet taste reminiscent of grapefruit. And really the taste is so balanced that it could be a cocktail in itself…but what would be the fun in that?
4 oz Hpnotiq liqueur
2 oz Malibu coconut rum
2 oz pineapple juice
Coconut Ciroc and Pineapple juice. Well you already know I like Ciroc. This brand of vodka already wipes away the bite of the spirit so the Coconut is very gentle. I can’t even imaging going back to a Grey Goose. It makes for a very nice base for some Caribbean inspired cocktails.
1.5 oz Ciroc Coconut Vodka
5 oz pineapple juice.
Cotton Candy Cosmopolitan. I’ve never been one for Cosmos, but when you add cotton candy everything is better. Although I’ve never served it, I would imagine it’s also a great party drink. Your guests will be sure to talk.
2 oz of vodka
1 oz of cranberry juice
1 oz of pineapple juice
Pour over cotton candy which fills a cocktail glass. The cotton candy will dissolve.
Mojito. Mojitos are a great summer drink. They are light and fresh. The mint leaves even visually give a beachy feel.
1 ½ oz light rum
10 mint leaves roughly broken apart
2 tablespoons sugar
½ cup of Club soda
½ sliced lime
