While everyone was debating whether Macklemore & Ryan Lewis “deserved” the sweep they had at this year’s Grammy Awards, these two were increasing their success.
Their gender-equality anthem “Same Love” – which they performed at the Awards show – experienced a boost of 350% over the previous week, according to Nielsen SoundScan data.
The week of Feb 2, the group moved 51,000 units. That number rose from the 24,000 copies sold the week ending January 26 and the 11,000 copies it sold prior to the Grammys.
When you do what’s good and right for you, the universe rewards. Now, everyone take that energy that used to hate and do something positive with it.
