Never in a million years would I suspect that Wale would go HAM on someone, but that’s just what happened today.
So what pushed this brother over the top? Well, it seems he felt some kinda way when Complex mag failed to place his latest album – The Gift – on there top 50 albums of the year.
Now … honestly I have two sets of strong emotions here. First, at the end of the day you can’t force anyone to like you or your craft. You have to be your biggest cheerleader. If you know in your heart that you’re on the right path sometimes you gotta walk that walk alone. Wale picking up the phone and proceeding to snap is not going to force Complex or anyone to think any different. Wale, you gotta do better. Do be Kanye. It’s not cute.
Here’s some advice I tell myself when I’m about to go HAM, “Control the crazy.” Don’t let people see how far you can go or else they’ll take you there every time.
HOWEVER, a list with Juicy J and no Wale. Nah … that’s clearly not accurate. No shade to Juicy because I do enjoy his music, but lyrically I do feel that Wale is stronger.
