Speaking of Kanye,
I figured he’d be okay with his nods since the reviews of Yeezus were so mixed, but alas that didn’t sit well with him. ‘Ye was nominated for Best Rap Album and Best Rap Song. It seems he wanted Best Album and he talked pretty openly about it Tuesday night in Phoenix.
“Yeezus is the top one or two album on every single list,” he said at US Airways Center, according to an Instagram video captured by radio station KISS-FM. “But only gets two nominations from the Grammys. What are they trying to say?”
This isn’t the first time ‘Ye’s felt this way. He expressed the same sentiments almost 10 years ago. “If I don’t win Album of the Year, I’m gonna really have a problem with that,” West said before nominations were announced in 2005.
Surprisingly, he’s not hurting for a Grammy. Here is a little known fact. He’s won 21 Grammys so far in his career out of 53 nominations. Whoa!
The Grammys will take place on January 26th in Los Angeles.
