Drake is the latest artist to be called out by PETA. The animal rights group has called the emcee out for not curtailing his partnership with outerwear brand Canada Goose.
In an open letter penned to Drake on Monday (March 19), PETA attempted to persuade Drizzy into leaving the brand by using several of his popular song titles in their plea. “Canada Goose touts a fake love for the environment yet kills ducks and geese for their down and uses painful steel traps to catch wild coyotes,” they wrote. Later, they mentioned that Goose’s strategy is “definitely not part of God’s Plan.”
The letter also vividly detailed how Canada Goose allegedly traps coyotes and bludgeons them in order to make their coats. “The company also uses painful steel traps to catch wild coyotes — who pray to make it back in one piece to their families but instead suffer and are killed in horrible ways so that their fur can go around someone’s neck,” the letter continued.
