XXXTentacion was sent to jail on Friday (Dec. 15) following a court hearing that obviously did not go in his favor.
According to a report from TMZ, the Miami-Dade County judge ruled that X violated his bond and as a result was jailed immediately without bail. Prosecutors also handed down 7 new felony charges stemming from his 2016 domestic violence arrest, where he allegedly beat his ex-girlfriend while she was pregnant.
The new charges reportedly include witness tampering, as well as witness harassment. The prosecution believes the 19-year-old may have forced his ex-girlfriend into signing a legal document that would result in the charges being dropped after she refused to cooperate with law enforcement.
TMZ says the Florida rapper will remain behind bars until trial and could be looking at more than 10 years in prison if convicted on the new charges.
