Hola friends,
Much has been going on. I’ve still been a little under the weather. While no longer severe, it seems like my headaches are related to a lack of sleep and salt. (D*mn it! That means no sunflower seeds. 🙁 I’m so pissed about that. At some point I’m almost positive I’ll give that snack another go.) As far as sleep goes, I suppose at some point I’ll pass out from exhaustion. On top of that I’ve had to begin the process of making some employment changes. Although I’m certain I want to go back to school to get my PhD, I have no idea what I want to do in the near future. Problem! I’m still getting used to the transparent nature of blogging so I’m opting to plead the 5th on the details of this little saga until things start to pan out.
Those are some big question marks…. Now what I DO know is that spring is here which means warm weather and less clothes are in my future. (Stick with me. This is going somewhere.)
This weekend I attempted to do a little shopping for some upcoming short trips in May. SMH…. It wasn’t pretty. Those weeks off from the gym are showing.
I have been approximately the same size in weight for many, many years now. Without giving lbs, I will say that I’m comfortably a size 2 or 4 given the material, design, etc. of a garment. I gladly take that. However, I’ve noticed that it seems like my weight is almost being re-distributed. I’m not making this up. And it’s all landing in my mid section. Help! This is not cute.
No one looks cute with a potbelly. And yes…there is such thing as too much butt.
There are so many things to love about growing older. You’re independent, wiser, more established financially. But one thing I hate is the fitness/ health spectrum of the deal. WTF happens to your metabolism! I accepted about 10 years ago that exercise was a given if I wanted to maintain a certain weight. So I’ve been okay with weekly cardio workouts. But now – given this recent belly/ butt status – I have to be even more deliberate with exercise AND watch what I eat??!!! #Ihatethisshit
I’m off now to pin-point the foods I need to “X” out or add to my diet. Off the top I know water needs to be added. BLAH! I really don’t like water but it’s great for my body and it would cut the empty calories and sugar I get from juice.
