For the anniversary of her Peabody winning album LEMONADE, Beyoncé has announced the “Formation Scholars Program” for young women studying creative arts, music, literature, or African-American studies.
The four “Formation Scholars” awards, available for the 2017-2018 academic year, aim to “encourage and support young women who are unafraid to think outside the box and are bold, creative, conscious and confident,” a statement reads. The participating colleges are Berklee College of Music, Howard University, Parsons School of Design, and Spelman College. Read the full statement at Bey’s WEBSITE or below.
To be eligible, the applicants must be incoming, current or graduate students studying creative arts, music, literature or African-American studies. Each school will have one scholarship to award, and information to apply is available at the schools.
