Chris Brown was allegedly involved in a brawl at a Tampa, Florida, nightclub early Monday morning (April 17), with Tampa police reporting that Brown “sucker punched” a photographer after a disagreement over some pictures.
According to one of the club’s partner’s, Chris showed up for a paid appearance at the 11,000-square-foot Aja Channelside club, and around 1 a.m., the club’s in-house photographer attempted to take pics of the singer and his entourage when Brown’s team told him to stop.
The partner said the unnamed photographer alleged that when he was taking crowd shots from behind Brown as the singer manned the DJ booth, the singer noticed and jumped over a couch to punch the photog in the face. In a video posted on the site, a person identified as Brown appears to throw a punch at an unseen person in a dark corner of the club.
Since the incident, the club has posted the following message on their facebook page:
“Dear patrons:
Incidents like the ones caused by Chris Brown and his team are very sad to see. As everyone witnessed he showed up to the club at around 1:30am. After only a few minutes of being there, Chris Brown himself and his team assaulted our club photographer and proceeded to walk out of the venue. AJA Channelside and our employees apologize for the inconvenience. Assault charges were pressed and we are dealing with the proper authorities accordingly.
We appreciate your constant support!”
