Kanye West has teamed up with Jacob Arabo for his first jewelry collection. Jacob has been dubbed Jacob the Jeweler by artists like LL Cool J, The Notorious B.I.G. and Jay Z.
The 12-piece line was inspired by bas-relief portraits found in 14th-century Florentine art including medallion-style pendant necklaces evoking the romantic images of Donatello, thick band rings and even a deconstructed bangle bracelet. Ye’s wife, Kim Kardashian, has been spotted rocking the golden medallions at the MTV VMAs with a vintage John Galliano dress, again sitting front row at the Givenchy RTW Spring 2017 show in October, and most recently on the streets of L.A. wearing the same exact Yeezy chain as Ye.
“I wanted to create something that represented timeless love,” West told Vogue in an exclusive interview.
