Good news for The Game. He will not face any jail for punching an off-duty cop in 2015.
The Compton rapper accepted a deal by pleading no contest to misdemeanor battery and criminal threats, according to TMZ. The Game received three years of probation, 120 days community service and must attend 26 anger management classes.
Back in 2015, The Game originally pled not guilty to the charges. Onyebuchi Awaji, an off-duty officer, testified that The Game intentionally fouled Awaji then punched him during the third quarter of a pickup basketball game.
Awaji also sued The Game in a civil case and won $100,000 when the MC failed to respond to the lawsuit. The “Hate It or Love It” rhymer had to pay Awaji $60,000 in damages and another $40,000 as a deterrent.
