Jay Z is ready to hit the stage in Cleveland in support of Hillary Clinton.
“11/4 Cleveland. Let’s make history (again),” he typed. “Thank you to the incredible artist dedicating their time this Friday!”
Hov also shared a screenshot of a quote from esteemed writer and political activist Elie Wiesel: “We must take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. Sometimes we must interfere. When human lives are endangered, when human dignity is in jeopardy, national borders and sensitivities become irrelevant. Wherever men and women are persecuted because of their race, religion, or political views, that place must — at that moment — become the center of the universe.”
This isn’t the first time Hov got involved the presidential election. In 2008 and 2012, he hosted special shows for President Barack Obama, even bringing out Bruce Springsteen for a packed rally a day before the 2012 election.
Jay Z will be taking the stage with the Los Angeles-based band 1500 or Nothin’ (who produced and provided all the instrumentation for Jay Z’s 2006 hit “Show Me What You Got.” Special guests are expected to appear for the free event as well.
