The President of G.O.O.D. Music is taking his role serious. Pusha T’s leadership has spilled over the walls of the label and recently he’s taken a stance on felons and voting. Now in a new video released yesterday (Nov 1), Pusha has spoken up in favor of California’s Proposition 64, a voter initiative on the November 2016 ballot for the control and legalization of marijuana in California.
“If California’s Prop 64 passes, no one will ever be incarcerated for marijuana again,” says Pusha T. “I’m not a California voter, but I know when good legislation passes in the biggest state, other states follow. What’s most important to me is keeping people who are coming home, home. If ending prohibition on marijuana reduces recidivism, then let’s do it.”
The push for the passing of Proposition 64 has been one that Pusha T has touted as a step forward in reducing an unnecessary war of drugs, which will ultimately be beneficial for the otherwise wasteful spending of hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars.
