Rihanna’s MAC partnership has been extended. Following the success of her collection “RiRi Hearts MAC,” she’s been named the new face of MAC’s Viva Glam lipstick.
You’ll recall her last “RiRi Hearts MAC” collection comes out in December.
MAC announced the news on Twitter on today, tweeting, “Welcome to #VIVAGLAM … @Rihanna! Arriving January 2014.”
Rihanna later announced the news tweeting, “Mama, Ima #VIVAGLAM girl!!!! Super thrilled to be teaming up with @MACcosmetics for charity! #VIVAGLAM more lipstick, more lives impacted!”
All proceeds from Viva Glam lipstick purchases is used to help people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS; since 1994, MAC’s AIDS Foundation has raised $270 million through the sales of Viva Glam lipstick and lip gloss. Past Viva Glam spokespeople include Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Cyndi Lauper, Pamela Anderson, Fergie, Ricky Martin and RuPaul.
According to MAC, “VIVA GLAM spokespeople are provocative, alternative and influential and reflect diverse communities. They are heroes we look up to for their personal triumphs; people who have invented themselves and people who created movements.”
