Chris Brown’s legal issues continue to follow him. After his Aug. 30 arrest on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon in his gated LA home, he has reportedly been denied entry into Japan after applying for a working visa. Brown was slated to perform today (Sept 26) and Tuesday at the Tokyo International Forum.
Last month, Brown was involved in an hours-long standoff (that was live-streamed on several news outlets) after he was accused woman named Baylee Curan of allegedly pointing a gun at her during a party at his residence after she was admiring a necklace. His lawyer, Mark Geragos, then told the Los Angeles Times that the accusations were “not just false but fabricated.” No jewelry or weapon was reportedly found at Brown’s residence as well.
Japan reportedly does not admit visitors into the country with criminal backgrounds and open cases. Five years after his 2009 assault conviction of Rihanna, Chris was also banned from performing in Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
