Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj have been added to the MTV VMAs line-up of performers set to air this Sunday (Aug 28). The duo will be taking the stage to perform “Side to Side” from Ariana’s third studio album Dangerous Woman.
They join Britney Spears who hasn’t performed on the VMA stage in a decade and Rihanna – the 2016 Video Vanguard recipient.
Other performers include Future and Jidenna. DJ Khaled will handle hosting duties for the event’s pre-show alongside Charlamagne Tha God and Lizzo. In a phone interview, Khaled told Billboard,
“The VMAs is a show I’ve always wanted to be a part of and I’m a big fan of it. For me to be involved in the pre-show as well as the main show, I’m excited. Put it this way — expect nothing but greatness and also expect the unexpected because when you got Khaled on the bill, ratings go extra high.”
The VMAs will air live Sunday from New York’s Madison Square Garden at 9 p.m. EST.
