DJ Whoo Kid was detained – but not arrested – by NY police last week while leaving work at the Manhattan SiriusXM office.
He was picked up Monday (Aug 8) for an outstanding family court warrant. According to TMZ, the warrant was for missing a court date. Police records also showed that he was two years behind on child support.
Whoo Kid reportedly had to prove he was current on his payments before he was released.
This wasn’t the first time Whoo Kid was grabbed by police on the streets of NYC. Back in 2013, he got arrested while he was leaving G-Unit headquarters in Manhattan for unpaid parking tickets.
He later addressed the incident during an interview on Sirius. “I didn’t know I had nine suspensions on my license,” said Whoo Kid who was all jokes during the interview. “They said I was texting, whatever. I was looking at my phone and they pulled me over.”
