Rapper 50 Cent has copped a plea in the alleged assault case stemming from the mother of his youngest child.
In June, Daphne Joy maintained that 50 kicked her and destroyed some of her property in a domestic dispute. He was charged with 5 criminal counts following the incident — 1 count of misdemeanor domestic violence, and 4 counts of misdemeanor vandalism (for allegedly causing $7,100 in damage).
He pled not guilty soon after, but the judge still ordered him to stay away from Daphne and requested he turn in all his guns.
In the plea, 50 agreed to plead no contest to one count of misdemeanor vandalism. In return, the domestic violence charge was dropped.
50 was sentenced today to 3 years probation and 30 days of community service. He has also agreed to attend counseling sessions and pay $7,100 in restitution to Daphne.
FYI, the restraining order against 50 Cent is still in effect.
