So it all started when Kanye West made a surprise appearance at Summer Jam on Sunday night (June 5). Hype, from his performance with Travis Scott, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Pusha T and Desiigner, he kept the momentum up and announced a pop up performance at Webster Hall.
The announcement came after the third day of Governor’s Ball was cancelled due to inclement weather where Kanye was scheduled to perform. When word spread of his supposed free performance, chaos broke out. While Pusha T and Big Sean made their way into the venue, Kanye West and Travi$ Scott barely got close. (see footage of them arriving below in the Twitter link).
Before long, NYPD canceled the show and fans were left with what to do next. Should they follow the tweets of Mike Dean to head to Trump Soho or beat it to SOBs who offered to host the event and even stream it via Twitter.
Welp, it looks like sleep got the best of the Wests. Ye and Kim (who had been streaming the saga of where to host the event) hit the sack by 3am. Meanwhile Travis Scott met up with 2 Chainz and his DJ – Chase B – at SOBs where fans got damn near a show from him.
There was no GOOD Music show for fans, but the demand is damn sure there.
Travis Scott, be safe in these streets sir. We don't need u taking another spill https://t.co/33IAWeS8Vu
