A little bad new for Meek Mill. The Philly rapper has been hit with 8 additional days of house arrest.
TMZ reports he was hit with an additional 8 days of house arrest to give him time to complete the right kind of community service. Apparently, his volunteer locations were at the wrong places.
The judge reportedly specified that Meek needed to put in 90 days of work with the homeless, Habitat for Humanity or senior citizens and veterans. However Meek’s camp says that was never specified.
Meek apparently visited schools, helped with the Flint, Michigan water crisis and delivered motivational speeches and while he did put in hours at a homeless shelter, they evidently weren’t enough.
Meek’s original release date was Wednesday (June 1) but the Philly D.A.’s Office says it will reevaluate once his volunteer work is completed.
