Well that was awkward. Both Ludacris and Ciara appeared on Good Morning America Monday (April 11) to announce the 2016 Billboard Music Award nominees. However when the moment came for Ciara to announce Future’s name for Best Rap Artist, things got quiet.
Announcing the Best Rap Artist nominees included Drake, Fetty Wap, Wiz Khalifa and Silento, Ludacris was left to fill-in-the-blank when it was time to say Future’s name.
It’s no secret that the pair have had a rocky relationship since calling off their engagement in August of 2014. Future and Ciara share a 1-year-old son who is named after the rapper.
The last jab endured by the ex-couple occurred in February when CiCi slapped Future with a $15 million dollar lawsuit to keep him from mentioning her name in the press.
Ciara is now engaged to Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. Check out the Billboard shade below.
