A little over a month since it’s exclusive release on TIDAL, could Kanye West’s TLOP finally be FINAL?
Today (March 16), Kanye West has “fixed” and uploaded a new version of “Wolves” on Tidal.
The redux of “Wolves,” features Vic Mensa and Sia. The pair’s contribution appeared in an earlier version of “Wolves” West debuted in February 2015 at a New York presentation for his Adidas shoe, the Adidas Yeezy 750 Boost.
When TLOP dropped a year later, an updated cut of “Wolves” carried new verses from Kanye and an outro by Frank Ocean, and the efforts of Mensa and Sia were gone.
The latest edit is a minute longer and Ocean’s contribution now appears on TLOP as its own work, “Frank’s Track.”
Earlier in the day, West tweeted, “Fixing Wolves 2day… Worked on it for 3 weeks. Life Of Pablo is a living breathing changing creative expression. #contemporaryart.”
Just days ago, a Reddit user noted that “Famous” from 1:23-1:25 and 1:49-1:51 have been altered as well as the lyric “She be Puerto Rican day parade wavin,'” being changed to “She in school to be a real estate agent,” in the cuts second verse.
Additionally, the user notes that the Sister Nancy “Bam Bam” transitional breakdown between 1:01 – 1:17 is different with Rihanna’s vocals having more reverb.
