Rihanna appears on her second British Vogue cover this month, exclusively announcing and showcasing her 6 shoe collaboration with Manolo Blahnik.
Set to launch on May 5th, the collab is centered around Riri’s hand tattoos and love of all things denim, bejewelled, and embroidered. The collection consists of a diverse range of styles ranging from lace-up heels, open-toed sandals & thigh-high boots.
Rih tells Vogue’s Emily Sheffield, “The day I see a woman in the street wearing my shoes… I am sorry for that woman because I’m going to literally run after her, shouting, ‘Stop! Selfie! Who are you? Where did you get them?’ I’m going to have a moment!”
Prices range from $767 to $3,483.50. Blahnik says Rih’s “drive, passion, creativity and style have been reflected in the designs, with fabulous results — I think everyone is going to love what they are about to see.”
The collection will be sold at Manolo Blahnik’s stores in London, New York and Hong Kong.
As for her own sense of style, so often lauded in the press, she credits her mother for inspiring her attitude when it comes to clothes.
“Oh my goodness, my mother – she is a woman’s woman,” she said. “I was obsessed with everything she did then, everything she wore, her scent, her shoes and her scarves… That was the glamour I wanted to be part of.”
